The People
At present, the members of The Green Way Café Team include:
- Trevor Denyer - the main driving force of the café. He is the manager and expertise in the kitchen. He is well known for creating imaginative, delicious, vegetarian food. He has been cooking for 35 years and a vegetarian for 25 years. He previously worked in other vegetarian cafes and had his own vegetarian catering business. Before this he worked at The Hungry Monk in Sussex.
- Rose Denyer - does a lot of the cooking, serving and friendly smiles! She is the assistant manager and specializes in cakes and scones. She has been working in cafes and restaurants for 10 years and a vegetarian for her whole life. She has travelled to many countries sampling vegetarian delights from all over the world. She runs her Pink Cake Box business from the cafe.
- Brenda Stride - keen walker and gardener, she designed and maintains our gorgeous garden which keeps the café supplied with fresh herbs. She has a life time of interest in organic food.
- Mally Gower - makes most of our fantastic cakes. She specializes in vegan and gluten-free cakes. She is also a local basket maker which she has been doing for 15 years. She has been baking cakes all her life; as a child her job was to make 2 family cakes a week.
- Mackenzie Denyer - another member of the family. Mackenzie is our Friday evening waiter as well as helping in the kitchen and running the Green Way take away meals service.
We all have a passion for great, tasty food and are the happiest team around!
